Students of any age can enrol for NIOS 10th and 12th. There is no strict age limit, and admissions remain open across the year for most subjects.

No, NIOS follows an open-schooling model. Attending regular classes is optional, though we recommend our live sessions for structured learning.

NIOS conducts public examinations twice a year, in the April/May session and the October/November session.

Students can transfer up to 2 subjects at the Secondary level and up to 2 subjects at the Senior Secondary level under Transfer of Credit, subject to NIOS norms.
